Well you can of course ignore friend requests if you know that person is of the spam variety... ;)

agreed, well what i was trying to say is that i personally don't want RA to turn into another event invite spam medium that is taking place on FB (for toronto especially). I like how RA events right now are relevant to the music that is being promoted on the site and usually there are not many of them.

Good point Gera, agreed.

Very handy, tells you briefly who's going, not whether they're a 'maybe' or 'not going' because really who cares about those people. :p

Funny :) We debated enabling this on TA when we originally started listing events but decided it would take away from the effort some people put into creating 'Roll Call' threads.

It's actually still there...a spin-off of the 'Who listened to this sample?' feature on Unknown Tracks threads.

If you guys want that I can put it in....

That would be awesome Del

I don't mind FB - the only peeps who I'm NOT ignoring invites from are Jason and Jon :stongue:

For me the best addition to the site is the weekly local mailer. It's unbiased, just a collection of the most viewed events in your city. And its one email, not 25 separate things you have to maintain.

+1

And, I'm on there! CiaraM. RA is a great site, I like it a lot.

edit: I found ya ;)

I use RA regularly.. especially for events in NY as well as traveling.

I tend to use TA when looking for events in Toronto though.

Bet you can't guess my name.. She_Fitz.

The ability to ignore invites from individuals on FB was a long overdue option.

feelgood
just signed up today, looks like a neat streamlined site.

RA is decent. I started using songkick.com and it's nice as well. Pick your artists + your town and they email you whenever a new booking comes up. Pretty simple and you avoid all unwanted spam cause it's only what you're interested in.
