Electronic Music for Change : Organizations - Philanthropic
Electronic Music for Change is an organization composed of dedicated electronic music enthusiasts who believe that electronic music should be used as a vehicle for social change.
The culture of electronic music is one that espouses the qualities of peace, love, freedom, tolerance, respect, and self-expression. Nonetheless, the culture of electronic music is often misunderstood by society. We strive to break out of these social constructs by taking action towards realizing those tenets which we believe in.
As such, the purpose of our organization is twofold: one, to cater to those with a common passion for electronica and two, to host an annual on campus electronic dance event from which all of the profits will be donated to a charity. In doing so, we unite not only in our common vision for lifting ourselves, but also in attaining a universal cause of peaceful harmony for all of our communities through such social activism.
Why Electronic Music for Change? Because it shouldn’t be hard for us to who share a common interest to unite together for change. Because we want to transcend any unfair stereotypes that society has of us. Because we believe in taking action rather than waiting for it. Because from time to time we’re simply bored of the mainstream...and crave something different. Because it’s never been done before. Because of self expression. Because we can.

Inpetto started life as a word that was sparked in the minds of brothers Marco and Dirk Duderstadt.
In 1998, the two German producers had found themselves in need of pseudonynm with which to remix
and record their more progressively orientated house material.
With the Inpetto name now firmly back on the EDM radar, the thirst for Inpetto remixes quickly resumed.
The pair have now completed remaps of Jerry Ropero’s ‘The Storm’ for Postiva, Meck featuring Dino Lenny’s ‘So Stong’ on Frenetic,
‘Who is Who’ –Klack’on Steve Angellos Imprint Size Records and ‘If You Should Go,’ for the world’s No. 1 DJ, Armin van Buuren.
Born in Kolberg, Poland and now residing in Brooklyn, Datt took it upon himself to learn the art of DJing along with producing.
Datt has traveled all over the States, playing at different clubs and party venues, winning
the crowd over with his fluid mixing, unique style and highly energetic performances.
I'd hope they would never use AMATEUR lighting hehe...
And holy crap they are gonna just gonna have sound effects (also profesional!) around the place. SIGN ME UP!
Hehe, just being evil. Just joking. Relax.
It's great to see an event like this in the (north...east...northeast) Bay Area. I'm all for it!
This just being promoted here now shows a lack of promoting, though. But maybe they know they could just promote around campus and get enough people to come that way!

I was scheduled to help out at this event and did not find out the full info until today.
Promotions are on campus and on facebook, but not much on other forums.
An estimate 400-500 or more attendee.
We're going back to school, hahahah :whip: :D

HAHA, Love it Dave, and i agree! Sad that it hasn't been promoted more, i just saw it today on Facebook and i am friends with some of the opening DJs... weird.... I just hope it sells well and doesn't suck all the money and kill future events! If i had time to plan i would have gone for sure!

Dave was right about one thing is the lack of promotion,
Production was awesome, sound was good.
BIG THANKS to those who came out to support for a good cause.
