jk i was kidding about coming at me. critique and feedback would be nice. mind you, i'm a newbie with no musical background and never attempted to piece together a full track. let me know what you think.

Pretty good sounding mix.
You want watch out for things like that snare in the roll though - it screams 1991 snare roll!

thanks for the comment! ill take your word on the mix itself, as i've been producing it in a less-than-ideal sound setup. plus working on it, it all turns to mud after a while lol.
as for the 90's snare.... i chose that one purposely for it's retro, unfitting sound. i guess it's a little too oddly unfitting? haha. if others comment on it, it may be removed. we'll see.

good work buddy!, I agree there are some cliches you could avoid, specially because you have developed your personal sound taste in this track. 2 things to work, 1. transitions, sound a bit plain. 2. The sounds match well together, but the kick and bass is somehow ta bit too agressive relative to the other sounds.
In other words, I like the overall musical idea, great bass, butt kick, bass, feel a bit separate from the other stuff..

when i finally took a listen to it outside of my setup, that was my first notion as well - that the bass/kick were overpowering. but once everything else came in it seemed to be alright? probably just muffled alltogether making it seem softer :haha:
