Hmmm. Last year i saw many MK9 videos with 2d gameplay. I liked it so much, but where is it? Is it the same game?

It took me a while to get used to the controls. I still am not super happy with how the Xbox controllers handle the game but I guess I have to get used to it or buy the stick. I think the PS3 controllers would be much better. The graphics and the backgrounds are amazing. Online play is pretty decent and not as bad as I expected in the way of laggy gameplay. Its pretty solid.
Overall happy so far after 2 days of playing.

yea I've seen a lot of complaints from the 360 users about the controls...the ps3 version is the ideal platform this time around.

i don't know if it's the same game, but it came back to the roots like a saw trailers last year.
awesome gameplay. 2d games are the best for me. I own Wii (plus many other Nintendo consoles), so i'm thinking to buy ps3 just for that MK game. It's exactly like i played 15 years ago. Not those y 3d comic fighters with any after MK Ultimate. Also just hate Street Fighter series. Only Killer Instincts in 2 fighting are great, in 3d only Tekken 2.

Unfortunately for my girlfriend...that's ALL we did on the weekend.
even if the game broke in half right now, still worth the $70 i spent.

So I just ordered an adapter from Hong Kong that lets you use PS2/PS3 controllers on the Xbox 360. The reviews are very good. I should get it in about a week. I have high hopes for this thing as I'm really sick of the 360 controller for MK.

just wana remind all of you 360 owners, there's a new xbox controller that has an adjustable D pad, so you can't move it diagonally.

Like for some reason, I expected a slight delay or that it would not respond lightning fast, but in fact, it does. After getting the feel for the PS2 controller, I jumped on Xbox Live and was playing better than I have ever played. You can do moves with confidence that they will come out exactly as you intended.
