I want to purchase a copy of the tiesto rmx but after hearing from lots of people that there seems to be a problem with the track I am unsure of what to do. There are 2 releases, one on the Perfecto label and the other one on Maverick US. Does any one of these 2 have a good version of southern sun?
Great Outdoors
The good version is on the Maverick label. Screw the Perfecto one.

i think i've got the perfecto release...it's not even the whole tune!!!!

*sigh, yea forget perfecto. I like oakie and all, but this was a big disappointment.

what is the difference with the perfecto release and the maverick release?
Abbas
the Perfecto release cut out about 2 minutes of the Tiesto mix, leaving the end with 64 beats instead of 128, making it harder to mix out of...

I think Oakey is trying to make a monopoly out of this by making it hard for DJs to use this song in their gigs. Shame on Oakie.

the original mix is perfect... other Dj's would just screw it up!

What are you talking about, the tiesto remix is easy to mix out of...I guess some of you dont have skill to beatmatch properly...and also what the hell is the maverick label....i mean is it better

Er technically it is more difficult to get a seamless mix if you have a long space to use for fading out. No problems to fade across 16 beats, but as you get past 100 beats, your beatmatching much be spot on for over a minute. Some dj's just dont like to work with less usable fade out time and prefer the long breakdown in the longer version of the song. maverick provides this, so djs are happy.

if you practice a long trance of 100+ beats is not that hard, my transfers usually dont go below 100 beats, usually longer, although i agree if you are a beginner, its harder to maintain a long transfer
