Opinion of Girl Talk

I know this is a trance forum, but what is everyone's opinion of Girl Talk? I didn't really enjoy the few minutes of the cd I heard of his, but I have to take my gf to see the guy tomorrow night. She loves him and thinks I will like it to since "I am into dance music"

Tell her to go by herself. You shouldn't subject yourself to that noise unless that is the love of your life! Even then, tell her to find a friend to go with her.

It's the kind of music that's fun when it's playing in the background of a house party. I don't think it would be very enjoyable to see him live, but the crowd will probably be into it and having fun, so you may have a good time.

How was it ? I think its garbage nothing but over glorified cheerleading music.

I agree 110%. Some of his mashups are very creative and catchy but are still pop junk food!

it was what i expected. i am not really into the music and at times i thought the music was a little rough/out of sync. the crowd was really into it though, (though almost a little bit too much to the point of artificial), which made it somewhat tolerable (i love high energy events). at times i wanted to leave though because it was just too much

(somewhat pointing out the obvious) i get the sense that "dance music" is really really on the up and up in america. i think most kids associate girl talk as the "in thing" right now so he has a wave of support, with many claiming he is a genius (to each their own).

in an other somewhat related note, i heard Stereo Love on 94.1 this week. i was in quite a bit of shock as i was channel surfing.
