well.. i´m really pleased with the tracklist! it´s damm nice 4 me 2
c there´s not that typical music on it again like age of love, café
del mar, stella, visions of shiva, love stimulation, beachball etc.
etc. etc. - and hurra - there´s none universal nation on it! :D
this cd reflects mike´s style in a very good way and his melancholic
trancy side imo! alot of those tunes are "anthems" or "classics" in
his sets over the passed years - i guess that´s his intention behind
compiling that tracklist! ;):) really sure - if he would compile a cd
with all the "usual suspects", it would b none prob - but why should
he? there are hundreds of comps out like that! :D |

when I first read his announcement about this release I thought it would contain a lot of work from the 90s, also including old release from himself from that period. Pretty disappointed when I now see the tracklist |

Yeah but this is obviously just a marketing/promotional release for old armada stuff, I wonder if he even got to pick the tracks himself. If I'm not completely mistaken all of those tracks are under Armada (most under mike's own Club Elite) |

i think it could have been a lil better (where the hell is some old school oliver lieb and bonzai stuff?)
but at the same time like oliver nior said, it could have been worse with the same old generic recycled classics everyone plays
it def reflects m.i.k.e.'s dj style for the past few years
i got a few old sets of him from like 2001 and 2003...it was pretty much all dark techy prog, guy was a beast...but at the same time he would be produceing amazing trance, very strange |
