What can I tell you? This place is nuts !!! GrooveENERGY decided to go to Waterloo to check out a new club called Beta to see Steve Aoki. I've never been there or seen any of Steve's performances, and both didn't let me down. Beta has so much potential as an upstart, especially located in a town that caters to, amongst others, university students who are eager to party hard. There was so much energy in that place and I hope the video is able to fully portray this. Steve Aoki was as also out of control as the crowd, and it was a joy to video him bringing all that energy! His has an interesting play list that's hard to describe, where the only way to truly appreciate it is to watch the full version on YouTube. I was caught off guard when he through a large air mattress on the crowd then jumped on for the ride of his life... LOL! This guy is nuts... in the best way possible. Ryan, the owner of the club, showed top notch hospitality and allowed me full access to take the best video I could. At one point I had to use the long granite bar as my roadway to take shots, as moving through the crowd would have been for to difficult to say the least. GrooveENERGY is definitely looking forward to returning to Waterloo's newest hotspot !!!

I watched the video just to see what kind of music Steve Aoki plays and I can definitely say that I will never go see him. That was some of the worst music I've ever heard. Just not my taste I guess! The club looks amazing though! I would love to check BETA out.

Personally I've never heard or seen him before, but I'd say I liked about 80% of his stuff that night. That's without drugs or alcohol too... LOL! The vibe was way better being there as opposed to just viewing the video. That was a hell of a night!

I wanted to video that event too, but I have work the next day so there's no way I can make it (it's a long standing rule I have). Too bad, as it would have been good to go.
