Hahaha I think I just posted the same thing you did. HERE I'm looking at the Apogee One ($249) vs MOTU MicroBook ($249).

Looks like you need more inputs than I do, look at the Microbook. It has 4 In, 2 Out.

I have the audio kontrol 1, sounds good and never given me any issues so far I've had it about 3 years now.

hey.. just wondering if anyone of you use windows 7 as an operating system?

I've used it on XP and OSX so far but plan to install windows 7 on this machine in the next month or so. Have you heard of any issues?

I'm thinking about getting this as my first audio interface, how good do those extra top controls (the buttons and the knob) work?

windows 7 64bit for a year , no problems at all

didn't mean to dig this thread up, but...

Update:

Been having a very good experience with audio kontrol 1 on Windows 7, 64 bit. Zero problems at all with the driver.

The added bonus of having traktor light, guitar rig light, new york concert grand, and a host of other goodies was just icing on the cake. I think I've just become a Native Instruments convert.
