Of particular note, the City of LA is considering selling the Coliseum and Sports Arena to USC, who's president has warned students against attending "raves.". In that case, EDC would need a new home...

Of course, I'm sure this creates the forbidden fruit and now EDC attendance will triple...it's probably already sold out even tho tickets are not yet on sale!

Teenagers are frequently dumb. They'll go to rock concerts just to get high, metal shows just to get into fights... they're bored and chained down by their parents most of the time.

Honestly, making the events 18+ is enough to me. I've loved trance since I was in middle school, and I've never used E, but I know I was (and am) in the minority on that.

Cali kids that complain about making the events 18+ drive me crazy. In pretty much every single other state in the US, if you're under 18 you have to be home by midnight unless you're at school or work. Growing up, the only time I got to see trance music live before I turned 18 was at Anime Conventions.

LA is really only doing what the rest of the country has been doing for years now: If an event goes past midnight, it has to be 18+.

And I'm sick of it being in the news. It's like they've completely ignored the fact that they added an age restriction. Didn't see any negative reports on Noc or Monster Massive... and those were 18+. So a solution has already been found, people are just choosing to ignore it for some reason.

Might not be a bad thing though... I love the venue, but a new one could be cool if they find the right one

Also ironic that USC parking lots take $25 per car during EDC weekend (despite the $8 signs for general parking) without any problem. Some would call this talking out of of both sides of one's mouth...

i dont think anyone at usc gives a about the president. i didnt when i was there, i didnt when the new one stepped into office, and i dont now :)

i don't know anyone who did, either.

e: missed the part where usc is looking to buy the coliseum. I think they have been trying for years though, to be honest
