[124BPM trancy breaks] Seawasp - Aztec Solitude
View this Thread in Original format

Hi!
I'm working on mastering my music properly. This was finished very recently. Slower than usual, but I think 124 BPM is a real sweet spot. I found a mellotron VSTi and it served its purpose in this tune. I know it's not really my usual psy or goa, but it's definitely trancy.
Time: 7:57
Tempo: 124

Cheers!

What's weird is that it sounds a little like what I'm working on, right now, which is also 124BPM.

Especially the lead.

Have you got anything listenable yet? I'd like to hear what it sounds like...

I'm just working out the bass-line and the mid-line bass-lead, but I can possibly put something up. No drums or any other instrumentation. Is it alright if I put it in this thread? I don't really want to start a new one, as yet.

Sure!

Yeah and I am really curious to see where you are taking that WIP, Eddie!

and didjer, I really like the break starting at 3:37, keep it up!

It's just the lead that sounds a little like what you're doing with a mono setting and a long modulation envelope. Believe it or not, this is the second time I've been working on something with eerie similarities to someone else's work, here.

@ Sinnica: I've heard your tune and liked it but got side-tracked before I could post.

I can certainly hear the similarities. Very sweeping synth! I'll watch your page for the track. Judging by that lead, it sounds a little more tense than mine.
