2011.02.27 The Dog & Pony Show: 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
View this Thread in Original format
DaveKers

A year has past since we started this little endeavor. All of you are the reason we're still here. Huge thanks to everyone who has given us a chance, and to all our amazing friends who continue to support us, as well as agents, managers, artists and peers who keep us afloat. You don't have to show us love, but you continue to do so anyway, and for that we are forever grateful. This idea started as a side project to give our friends something to look forward to on the weekends, luckily enough we've been able to supersede even our expectations. Not trying to make this sound like an award acceptance speech, just want to say THANKS! - Much love and respect, The D&P Crew

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 27th
The Dog & Pony Show presents...

The 1 Year Anniversary &
The New Website &
The Radio Show Launch &
The Dave Kers Bday Bash &
You.

Episode #008: "LOST IN MUSIC"

starring...

-ALEXANDER ROBOTNICK Live [fools gold | hot elephant music | florence]
Legendary italo-disco artist, pioneering producer, engineer and composer who spans the spectrum from DJ sets to soundtracks for theater and video. One of the forefathers of analog electronic sound, you can compare Robotnick to greats like Giorgio Moroder, Afrika Bambaataa and Francois K. On this night we have the honor to have him perform LIVE (which means keyboards, real time vocals, and on the fly edits). With a 20+ year long career, his show continues to crush barriers! http://robotnick.it/

-LE LOUP [wolf + lamb | airdrop]
For a small modest guy at 23, Le Loup's sophisticated and forward-thinking sound speaks VOLUMES! Contrasting to Robotnick's style of the school of the forbearer, Le Loup is the embodiment of leading the cutting edge. A combo of the past, present, and forthcoming, this Parisian export will be your guide into the future. http://myspace.com/leoleloup

-THUG****** [mood music | life and death]
These guys bring the party to the party. Holmar and Greg have both dedicated themselves to the debaucherous worship of all good things that can happen in a dark crowded room with good lighting. Their wide variety of influences from house to minimal and disco to techno, is easily the integration of everything Dog & Pony. If you haven't heard of them yet, you will soon! http://thug******.org/

-NIGHTPLANE & HARRY aka CCC [thisisnotanexit | no. 19]
A combo of new disco, house, jazz, rock and psychedelia which can't really be more timely as the lines of dance music continue to blur, this duo made our light bulbs go off real quick with their en amazing ALL ORIGINAL material. After a feature on the Soul Clap podcast last year, we simply couldn't resist. These guys keep with our "artists that are about to blow up" theme. http://soundcloud.com/c_c_c

-MSG [take out | ampd!]
Born in Hong Kong, MSG is the most flavor packed import to hit New York after dim sum. The name fits well, like the food additive he satisfies quick, and still keeps us wanting more. A close friend and huge inspiration - MSG's impeccable clothing style is almost as good as his record programming - chic, sexy, and innovative. Not many come as correct. http://djmsg.podomatic.com/

-PAUL RAFFAELE [the dog & pony show]
One half of our music direction, Paul has more styles then the Wu-Tang Clan. All tailored effortlessly to weave an untouchable style to create our diverse foundation. Tonight you can expect a set reflecting the new & the old, always melodic, funky and exceptionally celebratory! http://dogandponynyc.com/
