I got DJ Tiesto's autograph.

It was pretty exciting, it was at the Area 2 Festival in Boston, MA, USA. I got to the very front of the tent during the Dieselboy set. Tiesto came up for a two hour set, I was in the front row about 15 feet away from him the entire time as he spun tracks like Project Medusa - Moonshine (which was the opening tune), Andain - Summer Calling, Three Drives - Carrera 2, Dariush - Ira (crowd went nuts...) a few tunes of his own, Obsession, Lethal Industry, Windsider - Hidden Flight and about 7-9 other tunes I didn't recognize. He ended the set with Umek - Gatex. Anyways, right after the final tune ended, he came down to the crowd with a marker and started signing autographs, mainly just the front row of people. Most people just handed him their ticket stubs, but I actually had a folded piece of paper in my pocket that I was writing the setlist on, so I gave THAT to him, heh, with the setlist turned upside down. Overall, he put on a great show, granted, I would have liked to see him back in '99 - '00 when he was spinning Afterburn - Fratty Boy, Sixty Nine Ways, and Silence, but, this will definitely suffice.

It was funny as hell, there was this super hot girl a couple people down, also in the front row, she kept sticking her tongue out making a "provocative" gesture to Tiesto, shaking her breasts and stuff too, and Tiesto would just look at her with this big grin. She got one of the security guards to give him a note as well, and when he came by to give autographs, she grabbed him and gave him a huge smooch on the cheek, the girl was like barely 18. Tiesto was all smiles, hahaha.

| Yeah.. Its cool to see the DJ you worship so much in your room on your computer or in listening to sets. Its especially cool to get their autograph and get some sort of interaction with them. But its even COOLER when you get to stand NEXT TO Johan Gielen while he's playing pretty much the ONLY set in the States for all 3 hours of the set, and you get to give him a high five when he throws on crowd-ripping tracks. true story, best party of my life. |
