Lira, I guess that I should be more specific. I feel where TA went wrong in moderating had a LOT more to do with the antics that went in the other forums. And that eventually turns the majority of people off, no matter what their primary forum happens to be on TA. Let's face it, the rules were rarely followed and even more rarely enforced. But these boards were huge at one time, so I suppose that was part of the problem in moderating it (trying to stay on top of so much posting). But I honestly felt that I saw an unevenness when it came to admonishing and even banning certain members, when punishment was finally doled out.
I've had a little experience on other boards and usually, what causes the problem is the same thing; People get tired of the flamers and their protectors and yes, they move on. Sorry, you guys aren't perfect. Accept it. ;) |

| What do people expect in a political forum? Whoever couldn't handle ridicule and scrutiny I have no words for. It's politics. Expect things to get heated. Don't expect everyone to pat you on the back just because you have a point of view. I got utterly destroyed on many occasions and I didn't scurry off like a little girl because my feelings got hurt. I hate neo-conservatism but this forum is dead without differing points of view. It's really unfortunate that many no longer post. This forum could still be good. |

imo the majority of quality PDD posters were in the 18-30 age bracket and simply got older and found new priorities.

Most of the "discussions" in here were just people hurling pre-packaged arguments and positions back and forward without paying any real attention to what anyone else was saying. Since there was nothing of any real intelligence being said we all just moved on to the home of unintelligable discussions.... the c0r. |
