I've never understood the hype around Cassy. I saw her at the Beatport stage last year and while her set was decent, I don't have much of any interest in seeing her again.

Of course it will. He'll end up playing back-to-back with Sven and they'll both get ed out of their minds. I don't have a ticket for the Culprit party yet, but also don't want to blow a bunch of money on a boat party ticket. Maybe I'll change my mind, but I heard horror stories about the crowd on the boat last year and, given that Villalobos will probably happen this year, I don't want to be anywhere near that cluster of cracked out, irresponsible douchebags.

Two hours at the festival, then he and Sven are slated to do their own sets on the boat party afterwards. |

i don't even have to be there to know that the fest set will be everything people expect to hear, the smaller, longer set will be records you have never heard, or great classics. classics is where the man shines. |

I know, I know. I'd rather my first exposure to a "real" Villalobos set be in another country, where the party isn't going to be full of people who are ting their pants because it's God's first time in the United States in years. You know it'll be full of cracked out punters just screaming "RICARDO I LOVE YOOOOOOOUUUUU AMERICA YEAH!!!!" |

yeah, the funny thing is most of them will leave disappointed because you never know which ricardo shows up.
i saw him play a festival set at amore fest08 and it was ok...all the hits, nothing special. The afterparty though...
he killed it 2 years ago back 2 back with zip for mutek. all the fan boys hated it, but that tends to be because fanboys don't know too much if no one tells them to like something:p |
