anyone know of quality events with this kind of music in Houston?
I never see anything promoted.... But I guess then again the sound is more underground (a good thing imo)
I guess I would be interested in stuff like Kate Simko, Robert Babicz, Seth Troxler, Gui Borotto. Any local dj's spin stuff like this?
The real question is: Are there any dj's that consistently spin quality music on a regular basis (besides non brostep dubstep) in Houston? Deep House? Techno? Minimal? Non fist pumping music? |

Tim Sweeney (of Beats in Space fame) was here Friday. The guys who do most of this in Houston are Reverse, Crossroads, & Rekliner. Mostly the same people. They all do pretty regular events with locals (Henry Chow & Sasha Braverman play a lot. Chris Costello less frequently, but plays stuff more to my liking.)
For texas-wide stuff, pretty much anything j_love01 or bigsnail post will be up your alley. I'm going to get back to keeping the Houston side of stuff up-to-date around these parts, too. |

sweet.
Im looking for some music that takes itself seriously (because apparently there is no quality control in music like uplifting trance or trashy electro)
Thanks j_love! |

I'm up around there, too. Wish this city had some form of public transportation...aside from the oh-so-helpful med center to minute maid tram...'cuz thank god they made that!
