I went to update XP on my laptop...

....to Service Pack 3 and for some reason the download stopped halfway through. Gave no reason why. It then said it was reverting to the point before the update, but I guess it never truly did because my laptop is now ed. It turned off on me and when i turn it on, it just shows a small blue box and then turns off.
Any suggestions on how to fix? Do I need to call Will Smith so he can save the day? |

| Restart the computer, once the BIOS screen appears keep pressing F8 on the keyboard. Select Last Known Good Configuration. That's a start. |

It didn't go anywhere when I kept pressing F8, but strangely enough the comp booted.
Is there anything [updates, etc] I can do right now to prevent it from happening again in, say, 10 minutes or so, or in the future? |

id download the entire SP3 exe (can you do that, i could for 1 & 2?) and then run it manually.
failing that you can suck stu's in hell. |
