yo,
first off i like the EQ and Compression you have done. things are clear and dont get drowned out.
The kick however i dont really like at all. i think maybe a harder/less reverbed kick might flow better with the bass.
Also the song lacked build up. it seems to drone on forever with now filtering or build to the important parts.
High hats and perc was pretty sweet. maybe stereo the clap or HH so it adds some depth.
Over all good job mate

thanks for the feedback - getting good kicks is a difficult thing to do, so I'll keep working at it.
buildups are not my strong point - I"m still learning how to construct them properly (delay buildups, fifter automation etc.) - so thanks for your insight into this aspect.
glad you liked the tune overall.. |

| The melody seems rough; no flow. Maybe thats how you wanted it but personally I dont feel the melody. Might have been my volume but the mix sounds loud. I like the organic feel of the kick drum. I'd mess around some more with EQ and mess with the flow of the track. |

What are you using for the bassline? VST? and what DAW? |

i think it's a really cool track man. sure you could use a little build up but it's good so far man. i say just do some alternate patterns and toggle between the two. That's what i'm finding makes my learning process better. i'm pretty new myself.
i like the sound. keep it up. |
