Think about it this way. The longer a language is spoken in a region, the more diverse it becomes. Germanic languages related to English reached Scotland more than a thousand years ago, so it's natural that even when Standard Southern English (take that, Ian, hah!) made a comeback in the North, it found a great variety of dialects up there, and each absorbed the new influences in a completely unique way.
Give it a thousand years and people in Vancouver might not even understand what the folks from Toronto, let alone believe they share a common language :) |

oh come on. you're so diluted in accents and bloodlines that you could form your own species probably Lily :p
And Devon isn't really 'southern' it's more 'somewhere down there' like you refer to PKC in Tasmania :D I just dislike the e london accents, innit. |

Even Brazilian Mockney!? :( |

yes :p I 'ate' people who say 'fink' instead of 'think' too :p aka anything essex, london, sussex, kent, and all the posh scumbags just north, so wiltshire, buckinghamshire etc :p They just have a huge sense of superiority and look down their noses at anybody north of themselves when they live in a stinking rat-infested hellhole, or as the simpsons once said "a pee pee soaked heckhole" |

It's not my fault. I live in the Souf, so much so that I don't even have the unwarranted sense of superiority... because, like I said, I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy in the Souf :D |

You're just a deep fried Mexican.
Speaking mexicans, they have no sense of satire.
BBC's 'Top Gear' show upsets Mexico

I saw that on Daydreamer's Facebook. He didn't look amused either but, hell, I can't say I didn't laugh. If only there was a Brazilian sports car they could also make fun of :p |
