I'm not really well versed in mixing and getting the right levels for each instrument so if you guys have any tips or suggestions it would be highly appreciated!

also any feedback on my other tracks would be really awesome and would mean a lot to me. Thanks! |

Ok I'll do some feedback as I listen
Ok, nice pads on intro, would be impossible to mix into a DJ set tho
Maybe some reverb on the pads to fatten them up?
The change in hats sounds weird when the kick comes in, maybe keep the same rhythm.
I do like the way the top synth arp fades in, but it might be cooler if you filter it in?
Nice bass, mind if I ask how you made it?
It's a nice tune you've got going here (about 3 mins) but there should be a bit more variation, either with some effects, in the percussion or in the melody.
Try swinging your hats just a little bit
At 5mins it sounds like you're pushing the limits of your limiter and it's clipping a bit, bump everything down a bit. Is this fruity loops or cubase?
Lovely. |

Thanks for the response!
Yea I realized it was too loud at around the 5 minute mark so I bumped everything down a bit, and the hat tip was insightful too.
For the bass I just played around with the 3x Osc in FL Studio till I got that dirty bass synth sound. |

| It's not something more you're missing, it's something less. I would say, a more cohesive approach to what you're doing. There's just too many different elements occurring, not sure what else to say. |

Well, the first couple bars of the progression is the melody to "Little Drummer Boy" and that was the first thing I noticed. Pa rum pa pum pum.
The track needs to be cleaner, first of all, that could be achieved by replacing most of your synths with better sounding ones (preferred) and using your EQ to cut each sound it's own place in the mix, or second of all you could just do the latter half of what I said to what you have now. I don't know if you have done a mix down straight from the kick yet but you definitely should. |
