Thanks for the well-wishes guys. I'm alive and well. It wasn't a fun experience. I bunkered down in a central room in my parents' house and watched the ceiling move up and down and the whole building shake.
But now the storm's passed Cairns and miraculously my whole neighbourhood has been spared. Power is out and mobile coverage is dead, so I'm running on batteries and generators and will expect to remain so for quite some time. But I'll be back to my usual self soon. I hope. |
