I'd agree with Spad on that point, example, go into your local record store, u head for the trance section and are restricted to looking there, u miss out on so many great tunes.
HMV for example put stuff like DuMonde and Signum into the hard house section, Delerium goes into mainstream pop (sheesh) so if u only looked at the trance section u Miss out big time.
Basicly at the mo, Music discussion covers all forms of electronic music, from trance to garage (ick @ garage) but if ppl like it they can post thier thoughts on it and all can see and maybe try it out.
having the one general forum gives maximum exposure to all genres.

that would be to much
just doing a techno section would be significant |

The downside being that people might be put off checking out decent tunes they'd like just because they're labelled "techno". |
well I think that you have those type of people on every style...and "might" but it could be differ...

But you think the people aint motivated to look in a few section, like for example techno and Hardstyle?
And what about the many threads, they fly through your screen....isn;t it better that topics stay longer visible to people so they can talk about subjects more effective? |

I guess it could be done same way Regional forums are done now.
So music discussion is one big forums, with a few subforums.
However when you click music discussion you see threads from all sub-forums. Or if you want to be more specific you can click on sub-forum itself. |

| maybe we should make a poll on the issue? i myself think a techno section would be a very valuable innovation :disbelief |

Well i know that www.technoaddict.com will be a small project of swampers sometime, so expect it to be made into a site eventualy, but knowing swamper that will take a long time, busy man and all.
So i dont see why it couldnt be handed over to these techno freaks, maybe they could even buy it off ya :p |
