Istmo Music is proud to present a brand new artist in our roster. Sergio Maldonado has brought the spark and warmth of the best tech trance in the West Coast scene. This Californian producer created "Back To Square One" over a thick bass and very prominent drum line, with some sick complexity and a very unique combination of samples, stereo crashes and white noises.
Olbaid has already contributed some serious remixes to Istmo Music and Dub Tech, and now he got the opportunity to dazzle us on this top quality track, whipping out a solid trance workout with an infectious lead and groove.
Though "In This Life, Or The Next" is only his second release under Dub Tech Recordings, Sergio Maldonado has shown more capacity than for just heavy tech trance. The quality of his compositions has gotten the attention of many artists who have supported the stuff of this Californian master.
The touching of the original track starts with a perfectly mastered kick drum which leads to a shuffled bass line so dark and shiny that you feel your ears warm. A mono synth hits the spectrum like a hammer while thousands of strings help the main melody to conquer the climax, sweeping stereo noises and percussion flying around with the 3 chord pattern orchestra, a pure demonstration of a true feeling that shows the beautiful thing life gave us.
Included in the package we have Olbaid, our Mexican producer who develops a near perfect euphoria in every pattern and groove, with the same soul and spirit the remix builds the analog melody, raising it a few notches in glory and peace. It's a body-electrifying experience with snare rolls and loops, a microscopic silence announces the beginning of a unpredictable drum line that plays with no mercy. Like a baby toy, the melody explodes into your soul like a supernova.
A very particular point in this package is when you realize that the music sounding in harmony doesn't matter to the remixer. August Vila demonstrates to us why he's going to become a future favorite producer in Latin America. Costa Rica is the place and trance is the genre where August Vila introduces his pure power synths. Heavy and dirty is the sound of that massive kick drum, inspiring and sacred is the feeling you get when you get to the breakdown, but no matter what you do, you will be flying In This Life or The Next.
