Ya know those are the times that I wish I lived in Europe or had tons of money. Cause PVD hasnt played a set longer then 3 hours here in the states in quite sometime. Hes gona be here in NYC but for # hours. THAT BLOWS!!!! old school PVD would have rocked and 8 hour set at roxy and played an extra hour encore. :(

It's good to see him do 6hr sets again at Gatecrasher. He'll never beat his 'old school' 6hr sets at GC before it burnt down, but that being said, I went to a 6hr set at Gatecrasher Birmingham back in October and it was fantastic, he pretty much threw everything in there.

I'm sure he'll be there again soon ;)

I'm reluctant to pay any money to see him live again. Saw him twice in Tokyo, he was utterly useless both times. A poor, dull track selection, coupled with the fact that he just didn't seem to care or be interested in what he was playing or the crowd in front of him.

But I'd be interested to know how his sets go in the UK this month...

When did you see him in Tokyo? I'm quite surprised to hear you mentioned he wasn't interested in the crowd....

......and I'll be sure to let you know how the UK gigs go ;) :p

I know he doesn't Jesus-pose or whatever, and maybe I just phrasedit wrongly, but at times the floor was just not moving and he just didn't seem to twig or looked bored. His sets desperately lacked the energy I'd heard from him before. I'd heard been in awesome in Tokyo before, so I was really disappointed.

I saw him once at Unit in Naka-meguro in Feb 2008 on a Thursday night (even had to the Friday off work and travel 4 hours to Tokyo). It was the 'In Between' world tour. I like the album, but the music from it just didn't carry in a club. Yoda outplayed him before and after, so I guess it was worth going for that.

Then Oct 2009 I decided to give him another go and saw him at Ageha. I have to admit, I like the following song,:nervous: but his set became so tedious, no direction or progression. No nothing.

2 videos I took on my mobile...

I guess my main gripe is I went to see him expecting stuff from 'Global' and 'Out There and Back' style, but I shouldn't have kid myself otherwise. :(

I hope his album won't have "scheezy schit"

As much as I would love Paul to play an 'Out There And Back' set, unfortunately, we're past those times. Anyway, looking at the crowd in your videos, I'm quite perplexed seeing the crowd like that...

.....but I digresa, I have many vids from Pauls last 6hr set, I'm trying to decide which is the best one to upload, I have many crowd pleasing moments, but for now, this was his intro....

I saw him back home in Atlanta a few years ago, and it was pretty boring. He sort of seemed like he was on autopilot.

He hasn't been to LA since I moved here last May, so I can't comment on his sets here. I assume the bigger cities get a better performance, but Tokyo is one of the biggest, so... *shrug*

As a side note @ Ocean_Drive: I'm gonna be in Japan in May. Tokyo for a couple of days, then Kyoto and Kochi.

I haven't been to Japan since I was a teenager and couldn't get into the clubs, so I have no clue where to party. I know of ageHa and Womb, any other ideas? Spots in Kyoto are appreciated, too, as well as Tokyo.

He was in Atlanta last week and I heard nothing but good things! I wouldn't necessarily correlate a bigger crowd to a better performance, though.
