THE MODERN LOVE AFFAIR A new event series focused on the slicker side of the
dance music spectrum!
We can think of no better way to launch this series than with a special
Valentine's show featuring the upfront sounds of DJ/Producer LEE FOSS Hot Natured, Wolf+Lamb - Los Angeles www.myspace.com/leefoss
The last 2 years saw Lee propel his way through the ranks
of the dj world and emerge as one of dance music's most
forward thinking artists. His production work has garnered
even more attention than his djing, where both his
collaborations with Jamie Jones as Hot Natured, as well as
his solo releases are attracting worldwide acclaim. His
cutting edge sound earned him the #38 position in the
Resident Advisor DJ poll in 2010 and the sky is the limit
for 2011. Don't miss his Toronto debut at Footwork Feb 12!
alongside
NITIN
(Gem, No.19)
JEFF BUTTON
(DigDeep)
AARON SANTOS (The Kings Arms)
With your hosts: NEXT LEVEL LETA, JAZZ J SPINDER, NO.19, MELO,

Really looking forward to this. Haven't been going out a lot because I've gotten tired of most of the stuff out there. Something fresh sounding to drag my old bones out.

Review: Lee Foss at Electric Pickle, Miami, 4 Feb
I totally blame Graham for this. If he didn't introduce me to Lee Foss, I wouldn't be here in Miami right now. (Well, winter was starting to really piss me off) :p
Electric Pickle is like smaller, loungier version of Footwork. Small club, very intimate. I felt that I'm going to get a proper preview of how Lee is going to play on the 12th.
From the first tune Lee Foss dropped, I was all smiles. It's refreshing, unique style. Best I can describe it as a blend of Jeff Button's proggy sleaze, bit of Jon Jon's diva style and Andrew's more chilled out tech. Also bit like, more laidback, proggier version of Seth Troxler
Don't expect any hard slamming tech that makes you dance your ass off. More like, groove. And jive. I didn't really bust a move, but more like head bobbing, maybe couple of hip twisters, etc. Expect quite a few diva sounding vocal tunes. Expect some warm prog. Expect couple of chin stroker tunes. It's sexy as hell EDM.
And the guy really loves music. Singing along to vocals and being all happy and
If you listened to Lee Foss's podcasts, he plays like his radio shows. If you want something completely different from typical Toronto party, check out Lee Foss. I dunno if you'll like him or not, but at least you can say you saw something different.
Don't wanna jinx this, but potentially sleeper party of the year. Deffo looking forward to checking him again on the 12th.

That is one sleazy flyer! Sad to be missing this! :(

Nice! Did you also check out Mayaan Nidam (a Cuban female DJ)? She was on the ticked and is ace as well.

ah. I was wondering who she was. I didn't pay too much attention because she played after Lee and at the end of Lee's set, I was pretty wasted. But from what I remember, she was solid.
