So I'm getting ready for a night out and I've reached that inevitable point where there just isn't enough ing funk in my collection. It doesn't help that my external hard-drive is corrupted so I can't play any of my compilations, but I still want more.
What I'm after: scratching, basslines, MCing, drum 'n bass, hip-hop, electro, b-boys, breakbeats... mix sets and compilations ideally, but albums are cool too. Something I can stream on Spotify right now would be particularly helpful.
What I'm not after: anything remotely related to trance or deep house. Seriously.
The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Gorillaz (Self-Titled and Plastic Beach have the most funky stuff imo)
Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band (Lots of drums an funky beats. Nikita is prolly their most famous)
The Whitest Boy Alive
Jamiroquai should always be listed when talking about funk.

Anything by Gorillaz, Massive Attack, DJ Shadow is pretty good, and I'm also quite fond of RJD2.
Also
Ratatat also has a lot of good stuff. On the hip-hop front I'd recommend Kid Cudi. I like the Crookers remix of Day n Night a lot.

1 or 2 examples? Funk and the post don't seem to match

What the do you mean, they don't seem to match? This is exactly why I asked for no deep house. Listen to the first 30 minutes of this nice and loud and tell me you've got anything funkier:
To everyone else: stuff like the Avalanches and Shadow are great, but a bit too mellow for my needs. I want party get-on-the-ing-floor music, old school b-boy material.

Plaza de Funk... I can't find my favorite tracks on youtube but....
Podcast 10 AQF around 10 minutes, it's some kind of mashup of Joe's 'claptrap' and some track I don't know, but holy that thing get's going. Probably not 100% what you're looking for but that track has some serious drive.

Yo if you're after some funky hip hop beats be sure to check out this mixtape from Dj Spinna:
