Released last year, this is the first collaboration for these two West Coast lofi psychrock artists. Amanda Brown from Pocahaunted/Topaz Rags in her solo work as LA Vampires and Zola Jesus (a veritable Siouxsie clone). I know that this probably won't be for everyone on TA, but I figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone else is jive.
Think of this as Fever Ray only on a comedown from cheap pills and gargling some rusty pickups from a used Ibanez bass guitar. Everything on this album is centered around the low-end sounds. The vocals are awash in reverb and the atmosphere is a thick, viscous opiate pastel. If you were at all interested in Fever Ray/The Knife then cheggit.
