Sound Republic and BYDEK presents...

DASH BERLIN
...
Progressive trance's front man Dash Berlin has been steadily climbing to DJ royalty, and is now making an appearance in Winnipeg for the first time.
The DJ known for his futuristic and emotive music branded as "the Dash Berlin Sound" first exploded out of underground popularity with the support of international DJ/producer Armin Van Buren in 2007, and has since taken the #15 top spot on DJ Mag's Top 100 List.
Berlin's debut record was featured on Buren's label Armada Music, and his chart topping track "Till The Sky Falls Down" was released on Buren's legendary ‘Universal Religion’ album. The track became one of the most memorable, global anthems that year and remains one of the cultivated blueprints of the new Trance movement. 2009 brought the development of Berlin's own label, "Aropa" and equally exciting, eclectic and high-quality productions like "Man On The Run," a collaboration with fellow Armada artists Cerf, Mitiska and Jaren. The track rocketed to the top of the international trance charts and was nominated for the Best Trance Track at the annual Trance Awards. In the same year, Berlin released the critically acclaimed debut album: "The New Daylight".

2010 and 2011 have given Berlin the nickname "The Flying Dutchman" as he is traveling to every corner of the globe on the New Daylight World Tour, Coming off the recent win of his ‘Best Break Through Artist’ award. Berlin's hyper-loyal fans can attest to his ability to connect with audiences even in the thousands, and has garnered him the support to continue this DJ/producer's rise to the top.

Opening set:

Mike Emvee (Armada Music, Intuition)

Praised to be one to never have stopped pushing himself towards what he wants, 2010 overall has been a very crucial year in Mike Emvee's career. He started the year off by entering in the Spinnin' Records competition to remix the "Trance Energy" theme for Sander van Doorn's track "Renegade". Although he did not reign victoriously throughout this, it brought in immense support from the fans, gave him a clearer understanding of the sound he wanted to be known for, and pushed him even further to succeed. By propelling this, it has really motivated to work harder on his own productions and has helped inspire as well as discipline the process of writing.

This was obvious and he took a slight amount of time away from the decks and focused more on his studio productions. He wrote a remix which was released shortly after the Spinnin' competition to the track Niklas Harding, Mac feat. Sofia Elisabeth – When Time Comes (Dark Bird Recordings) which has received the support on M.I.K.E's "New York City Nights" (Armada) and Menno de Jong's "Intuition Sessions 2: Rio de Janeiro" (Intuition). With the explosive success of this he took the momentum and wrote on a track with up and coming vocalist Tania Zygar entitled "One by One" (Auryn Music). Completed in late May, it was first promoted through their performance at Parliament Ultra Club in Ottawa, Ontario. It featured on a night where Mike Emvee opened up for international sensation Sander van Doorn. "One by One" is a track written with a heavy sense of political vigilance. Tania's lyrics address negative people who limit you from succeeding. "One by One" has had acclaimed support by: Menno de Jong's "Intuition Podcast", Marcus Schossow's "Tone Diary", Above & Beyond's "Trance Around the World", and Markus Schulz's "Global DJ Broadcast".

Mike's loyal following, who he keeps a personal relationship with, have always been his priority. He's a bonafide crowd pleaser, he continues to redeem himself every time he steps foot in the studio, and in front of the crowd.
