how is Arkadia for a night party ? seems like it's more of a daytime party set up since it's "pools side." How will the 'Lights Out' theme concept work there? Kind of hard to turn out the lights when it's outside I'm imagine.
How is the table/cabana set up there ?
I've been to at least five Lights out Miami parties but we skipped last year. The one at Twilo a few years back had to be one of the best ones. |

Lemme preface this by saying I haven't yet BEEN to Arkadia, but I live right up the street from it, so I hear a lot about it. I also have a friend who is a big promoter there and this is what I can tell you, and if there's anything you already know, just ignore it, I promise, I'm not trying to patronize ;)
Arkadia is in the Fontainebleau resort, same as LIV - so they know they can charge top dollar, and they do - however admission to Arkadia is usually not able to be bought, it's kind of by discretion.
It is right by the pool at the resort, but make no mistake it is an indoor club - and a really nice one. They do occasionally set up poolside events, but it's certainly not the norm, and basically they just set up the sound system outside and people kind of wander back and forth.
This is an intimate, small-capacity club, dark with lowish ceilings and will DEFINITELY be on par with (or exceed) what you are expecting for Lights Out.
It goes without saying that the drink prices are ri-goddam-diculous, but I'll bet that if you're considering cabana tables, then table prices won't shock you a ton here. The staff is certainly very friendly to you if you're dropping that kind of money.
All that said: honestly I wish I could do this, because this is (in my mind) the perfect venue to see Steve in. I'm jealous of those of you who can go. |

Thanks for the reply. Good info and description. We have been to LIV, but not Arkadia. Sounds like a nice place and a great spot for Lawler's party. Good to know it's not actually outside. It wouldn't have made sense for a lights out party.
I actually talked to somebody yesterday about tables and it was minimum $2500 and it didn't matter that it was just my wife and I so I'll have to pass on the table. Not worth it just for the two of us. We're doing table other nights with friends, but we were the only ones going to Lawler that night. |

| I immediately purchased tickets last week for $75 when I saw that there were only 9 tickets left. Now it looks like ticket prices jumped $150 with plenty of tickets available. Are they just going to sell as many tickets as they can or until it is actually sold out? I'm wondering if I have to get there early even when I have a ticket on hand. |

| can't wait for this party!!!! Lights Out has always been one of my favorite parties every year and i have no doubts this one will not disappoint :) Gonna be great to dance to steve for 6 hours! see you kids there |
