Nick Diaz.........

Name ONE fighter Diaz has fought who would be in the top 10 GSP has fought...and don't give me Gomi, that was 6 years ago. I hope to god they don't make this match up. GSP would walk through him no problem. The only reason they make it is because people bought into they hype of a C fighter beating up on a bunch of other C- fighters.

Im not going to disagree with you there but he's a champion in Strikeforce and in the same weight class...

Who else are they going to put with him??

all i have to say is that Toronto has the worst sports crowd of all time. All of those people and no one knew how to cheer or put ambiance in the place. Its part of the show guys, don't sit on your hands...had this been in montreal you would all be deaf this week.

Other than the so so fights and the horrible crowd, they pulled off the big show quite well and everything that was in their power went smoothly. If it comes back to TO you can bet on the ACC i think.

Koscheck lied on Daley for 3 rounds to get a title shot..... Diaz just finished Daley in 1 round.

WHHHHHAAAAAA!?!?!? the "so so fights"!??!!!?!?!?!? one fight ends with a spinning back fist, another with an absolutely insane front kick only seen once before in the ufc, another has one of the best 5th round comebacks of all time, crazy submissions by two other fighters, a 20 second first round KO...the list goes on and on. Can you please explain what else you wanted? Have you seen a UFC card before? Please name ONE card that had better finishes that that. As far as the crowd goes I am not sure where you were sitting but it was louder in there when Hominick made his comeback than either of the montreal shows I was at. The only difference was the main card where there wasn't the hatred for GSP's opponent that montreal had with Koscheck and Serra. I mean both really let the french have it in the pre fight buildup. Nobody was bad mouthing GSP this time or Toronto.

Doesn't really answer my question. Daley is not a top 10 fighters. Name one guy Diaz has beaten that could beat anyone in GSP's last 10 fights.

i've been to every ufc in montreal and the one in toronto.

sorry, you guys suck as fans, it has nothing to do with hatred. You eat pizza with a knife and fork i bet.

how much did you pay for your ticket?

Only neanderthals wouldn't eat pizza with a knife and fork.

I bet you eat poutine in a bowl.

I tried standing and cheering from my 10th row octagon side seat (don't ask lol) and was promptly told by security to sit down. The whole area WANTED to go ape, but simply couldn't due to the ridiculous restrictions of staying in your seats.

It wasn't the fans - it was the venue. Next one will be at the ACC - and hopefully with an Aldo / Hominic rematch - which will be every bit as loud as MTL w/ GSP.

I'm reasonably confident in picking Daley to KO Serra, Hughes and probably Hardy too. so there's three guys ;)

to be fair, Diaz' win over Gomi was only 4 years ago (not 6), though it was at 160…but a solid win nonetheless. speaking of lighter weights, I'd be curious to see Noons in the UFC at 155 (or 145) too.

but yes…there's no question Diaz has been facing a lower tier of competition in SF and elsewhere in recent years. He definitely needs to move over to UFC if we are to talk about rankings. While I also don't see him as a major threat to GSP, the same can be said of virtually the entire 170 division. I'd still like to see the fight.

regardless of his chances against GSP, there are still plenty of compelling matches to make, and a rematch with Diego would be a good start. who wouldn't want to see Diaz vs. Penn at 170??? that has 'fight of the night' written all over it.

The crowd sounded dead when GSP came in, I was quite shocked. During his last Montreal entrance, you could feel the crowd. The anticipation, the support was amazing...in Montreal. I was really disappointed by the fans in Toronto during that moment. Maybe it was the acoustics? Probably not.
