| I just got back from two weeks hols in switzerland with a group I went with. While we were there I left my Cd player around and someone picked it up and started listening to it. Everyone then started to really take the piss outta the cd and started asking me irritating questions like 'can you actually tell one song from the other' and 'It's all the same, It's for people off their heads! This sorta stuff really pisses me off. I thought everyone elses music taste was horrible, I mean the guy who really ripped the cd the most was into pink floyd and mike oldfield (tubular bells) and said that I was in the minority :crazy: wtf! But I didn't critisise because being into trance I know how it feels when people put you down over the music you play. I didnt really care about the comments cuz when you're as into trance as Iam and you've discovered how wonderful it is the comments are funny because they just don't know . It's just the arrogance that gets to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why put someone down over it? |

| it's true what you say, I have al lot of friends who love rock and metal and stuff, but to me most of that music is loud screamy noise too, but we have to watch out not to get arrogant as well. |

I hate when people who listen to electronic music say:
"hey this song is 70 minutes long, well at least it changes"
It annoys me when people critise the music i listen to, but thats okay i guess, everyone has their own opinion.
things i usually hear:
"techno sucks"
"this is boring its the same thing"
I wonder if people need a certain brain wave pattern to understand progressive and trance. |

i know my friends don't appreciate trance
but i could care less
they never comment about it or anything
but i think i've actually converted one
it's either that, or he's a lil follower
because he does have a tendency to do that |

Yeah, I know what you mean. I make my friends listen, and on occasion they like some of the stuff.
Hehe, when we are stoned, I put on Solar Stone - Chilled Out Euphoria, and it freaks them out. It makes me mellow, but it scares them. Sweet. |
