Also, Domesticated, it's their vacation home. I would see where your points would have a lot of merit in regards to the everyday dwelling of retirees, but vacation houses are the perfect places for gimmicks imo.
My only issue is the idea that it can hold "60 people comfortably." For people with that lifestyle, 60 is a manageable dinner, not a big event. What if 20 fatties show up? I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that thing for a party unless it could support 500 Australians. |

I dreamt of home back in Sunny. I had snuck out of my room to demand a goodnight kiss from Mama, which had been denied me for Father would have been annoyed by my kisses on Mama in front of their guests whom they were hosting at the dining table; and as I was not yet permitted to stay for the whole dinner I was sent to bed at the midsupper bell, 'against my heart.' Meditated on a 'Floating house' thread on TA today; I often feel we (the Girl with One Sock & myself) live in a lighted house of glass, & that perhaps any moment some thin-lipped parchment face will peer through a carelessly unshaded window to obtain a free glimpse of things that the most jaded voyeur would have paid a small fortune to watch. |
