I think we should start a movement creating bad ass electronica which connects and moves people. Find new ways to get it out there.
Advocacy, innovation, connection.
Have it start with us, the creators, fans, and performers.
The big question is how can you create good work AND connect with the public?
Dude... you just PLUR'd something that I have no idea how to react to. If you're taking a piss, I'll laugh along. If you're serious.... you came to a wrong forum to stir up some EDM-activism...

Justice have been the phattest thing to come along for for years, period.
Bud Deadmau5 latest stuff, especially those tarcksincluding Sofi, have just been plain terrible. They make me want to cut off my ears. I've got huge respect for him as a producer and Faxing Berlin is classic in the truest sense but I just can't listen to any of his new stuff.
I dunno... if you like Justice and how come no likey Sofie trax? She reminds me a bit of Justice-assisted Uffie.
One of similar style trax
I guess it's a matter of taste. I'm into it.

You sir are very correct. Peace Love Unity Respect...LMAO@PLUR. Kids go to raves and claim they live within plur but all they are is rolling on extacy. Instead of plur its more like this: Kid with no pills says "hey...I love you...ill do anything for a free pill!" Kid with pills says "nah I gotta sell them" kid with no pills continues to beg. Then everyone is high digging the bass and feeling each others skin soaked in nasty smelly sweat. PLUR = some bull kids created who were rolling. IT'S A JUSTIFICATION AND RATIONALIZATION FOR THE EXESSIVE USE OF E. I say this because I'm an addict who has been clean for 5 months and I have no intention of using again. PLUR makes me laugh.

Perhaps there is some truth to what you say about this being the wrong place.
However, there are those who do wish to make something worthwhile.
Those of you who are serious and wish to join the ranks of successful producers, must not only create good work, but connect with your audience.
This will not happen on its own. You must connect with people all over the world.
Many businesses are stuck in a 19th century factory mindset, especially the recording industry.
Your potential audience is global, and has no clear cut lines.
The world is moving towards people becoming more and more connected, and it can not be stopped. People will choose what they value, and the markets will move in sympathy. They want to connect with you and your work, they want to feel as if they are a part of something.
It is far more than selling tracks and merchandise. This is the main reason why I think people fail, especially creative types. It is not about you per se, it is how people connect with you.
One person has the ability to affect the world in ways which in previous times were only available to the most connected or wealthy.
Do you embrace the changes in the world, or do you continue to fight them?

lol it is cool tho eh .I mean just as a track. It eventually does at the end when the main hook comes. i love the distorted sounds tho. Not bad for reason. Also , those 8th notes are note swung in a quantized way. There is some sort of distortion with some of the 8ths comming sooner giving it a really cool vibe. Kinda like how cubans hear 8th notes or Brazil who hear it a different way.
It is a cool idea.
What are you talking about with the 8th notes?
The track reminds me of Alive 2007.
Mad for Brad
different cultures hear and interpret 8th or quarter notes differently
I might have this reversed as it has been a while but for example
cubans rush the second 8th note of every group of 4
Brazillians on the other hand lag the last of the set of 4
Jazz is another example. Although we've managed to explain by triplets but that is not really what is going on. It is just an interpretation of 8th notes that sounds like a dotted quarter tied to a 8th bracketed by a triplet. They did not think of it that way.
Even lets say Waltz , the viennese style had a slight anticipated 2nd quarter note.
there was a time when depending on the ride groove of a drummer, you could tell what coast he was from.
Before music really started to become global, cultures did not hear meter the same way. I remember a lecture by Alex Acuna, big latin drummer about 15 years ago saying that there was a time where a brazillian could not play with a cuban because they just heard music and groove differently.
In this track there is a slight displacement of the beats that gives a very agitated feeling.

In Indonesia, they have a gamelan, which is a type of musical ensemble native to the region.
