I think that electronic music can become more than just a genre, it can become a global movement.
After all, electronic music is more than just trance and house.
It's music that moves people.
It's hip hop
Trance
House
Pop
E
ven soundtracks in a film.
It's important to get it out there.

Reading about it on Wikipedia, but that pales in comparison to those who understand it more. |

I didn't realize electronic music was still divided by genre tunnel vision?!? For me, what you envision already happened many years ago? |

I suppose nowadays there is a lot of overlap amongst music.
@ken-lee What do you mean by "welcome to the 80s"
@Ralphie To an extent, genre tunnel vision does exist, but I understand what you mean. Everything influences everything else. Cross-pollination is the norm, not the exception.
Does EDM and electronic music in general still need evangelists, or is it in the consciousness of enough people already, and all that's required is creating new works and novel ways of getting it out there? |

the method of using electronics in music has been most common since the 80s, maybe even the 70s. your "wave" is 40 years late lol. you have clearly lived in a cave. if you are talking about electronic dance music its been around since 89 or so. it was called House and its one of the biggest genres since 98 or so. lol PLUR. |
