I was just listening to the Daniel Kandi remix of Edu & Cramp's - Silver Sand, and I was wondering how to create a certain synth sound from that track. It's the sound which plays at for example at 2:13, it's very soft in the background, almost a sonar kind of sound. Is it just a few oscillators playing a sine wave or something at a high pitch?

Could be sine, or some other wave filtered down low enough that it's almost a sine. Plenty of reverb, maybe a touch of noise.

Yeah, the noise is a good tip. I managed to recreate the sound with the ES2 on Logic, but it's not a 100% correct yet. Thanks for the tip :)

You might try sync'ing or ringing a sine with a saw wave. It sounds a little bit like the lead in Sandstorm and I know for a fact that Darude used a lo-fi saw wave.

anything sonar ish is usually shaped noise. YOu can either create a high Q on a filter that will bring out a pitch and map that value so it will change for each key. And then effects to make it more organic. Also blending with a triangle wave might help bering out the pitch.
