Any tips? I am not the best skier but I can manage, I am more bothered about the apres ski. I have booked in at the spa - any other ideas?

You should go snowmobiling one day, we did that at Whistler last year and it was the highlight of the whole week!!! I know Tremblant isn't really a mountain, but I bet you'd have just as much fun!

There's a restaurant that has the BEST calzones. Their shrimp + spinach calzone was out of this world.

Check out the micro-brewery, La Diable (i think), really great beer and food.

Le P'tit Caribou is a pretty cool bar to check out at night as well :)

Try out snowboarding. It's way more fun than skiing, and if you enjoy rolling around in the snow a lot, learning it will give you lots of time to do that too! :gsmile:

If you're going to try snowboarding, save it for one of the later days in your trip. Falling is going to hurt, there's no way to avoid it as a beginner. The joy of snowboarding is you either fall on your face or your butt, not on your sides like a skiier. Also, get a lesson, they typically help a lot more then trying to wing it or have a friend teach you.

If you're in the village you don't really need a plan for anything. Everything is so close and within walking distance, you can easily find bars or restaurants to go to, just pick what you feel like.

Make sure to try the crepes at Creperie Catherine. Delicious! You may want to go on an empty stomach. :haha:

Result!!

That's wicked Rach!

Tremblant is an amazing resort. Only been once, but loved it... the town at the base of the mountain is so lovely too.

I say try SNOW/SKI BLADING! That's where the real fun is at... you'll find it far more fun than skiing and if you're only a so-so skiier, ull pick up snowblading much easier and be much better at it.

Trust me Rach habibi, try snowblading at least one day. :) YOu'll love it - plus more fun and easier.

(And you dont need poles if you dont want to - which I love... you feel so much freer w/o poles in your mits!)

:D

Try both. If you have a good enough sense of balance you should be able to at least make it down a green on a snowboard without falling after taking a lesson for an hour. It's worth it, snowboarding is a blast.

Snowboarding is great and everyone is bang on in saying you should try it. But IMO I wouldn't do it at Tremblant because:
-You're going to be way too sore to enjoy the nightlife Tremblant offers
-You're going to strictly be on the bunny slopes and won't get to enjoy the size Tremblant offers over Toronto area hills
-Bunny slopes around Toronto are the same as the ones in Tremblant, which are the same as the ones in Whistler, which are the same as the ones in the Alps etc.. So why no just do it here?

I'm the biggest boarding fan out there but just saying given your scenario I'd ski and use more of the mountain.

Tremblant tips:
-Buy any groceries and booze in st jovite or the old town of tremblant, prices are JACKED in the village.
-Make a point of going out at night even if you're tired and its cold, you won't regret it.
-Bring lots of warm clothes, Montreal as you know is tons colder than here and Tremblant is even worse.
-When starting in the morning each day try to sample all areas of the mountain and find out which area you like best. Often some runs are sheer ice, moguls etc and the next day they'll be groomed perfectly.
-Milk that gondola! Great chance to relax, warm up and meet tons of people from around the world on the way up.
-Use the chalet at the top for quick lunches, much faster/cheaper than what's generally at the bottom.
-Petit Caribour and Le Diable are def worth checking out as others mentioned. I think there's one more nightspot that tries to be more of a "club" that is good but I forget the name.

Have fun!

Yeah theirs a place called Le Shack which is like a typical sports bar, and also a place called Cafe d'Epoque which is the one I think your referring to (tons of underagers last time I went BTW), and it turns into a pretty legit "club" at night.

St. Sulpice is also a pretty nice town thats close(ish) and has some great bars and nightlife as well.

Oh and Tremblant has a new Casino as well, if thats your thing...

You're all fabulous, thank you guys!!

I have taken note of all these things. We're flying in Thurs lunchtime and all meals etc are covered by work but I will be flashing this under the nose of my CEO to ensure we have the best time.

Thanks again! xxx
