| i think you need to stop looking in your own genre for inspiration as you will always be one step behind. Look for sounds you like. Implement it in the style you make. Your goal should not be to write trance but rather what you feel you should write. Leave the labelling to other people. Trance has been so god damn stagnate. Not much has changed in 15 years. |

I'm running out of user preset space. I wonder if the TI allows for more user presets. |

it doesnt seem like you know how to use any of the synths you own, because you have more than enough. |

I come up with a lot of my own sounds. I think what I need more of is strange noises. |

| then twist those knobs and faders on those synths you already got. they are there for a reason. or find another hobby. |

I would love to have your gear... so many possibilities. But some softsynths are really nice too. My top 3 favourites: Camel Audio Alchemy, Tone2 Gladiator and Sylenth1. Also Spectrasonics Atmosphere is great for pads and background FX.
Maybe this is not your thing, but I always (nowadays) like to use some recordings in the mix. Like vocal samples, instrument samples or just some noise from different enviroments (like schoolyard, jungle, beach, etc.). Gives the track a more organic feel, it's easier for people to relate to. |
