I know Armin has a lot of faults these days, but I love the Gaia stuff. Based on this preview, I don't like it as much as Aisha, but it's still a good track. Props to Armin and Benno for making non-vocal songs every once in a while, cause they could get away with only vocal tracks if they wanted to.

What do you guys think?

is this what its come to?

"well done armin because at least this time you didnt put a vocal in"

This should have been the ASOT 500 Anthem:

God i hate todays trance. Either you go the boring minimal influenced root or the uplifting trance with the hardest kick available with the most generic baselines and typical supersaws.

I think that's a good way of putting it. Both of those styles are fine in a set, but there has to be middle ground somewhere.

I listened to it, it does not sound too bad, it just does not sound good or original.

Its funny how he could make a track this good and original when he was not that big and doing it all himself, but nowdays there just not seem to be any real kind of feeling or originality behind his tracks.

I don't see how his productions are popular besides the fact that he runs ASOT and thats all most of his fans listen to. This is my main complaint about EDM in general nowdays, "Promotion is greater than quality". A few big names completely control what kind of music is popular... no one is interested in finding music through other channels or exploring.

What's the official title of the that track? Is it a remix? I want to buy/DL it but I can't track it down in better quality.

This is an unreleased track that Bart Claesson shared recently.
Trance like this isn't made anymore, the kick doesn't overtake the whole mix like 99 % of everything else. Its not a verry good track but still nice and good enough to showcase the difference between now and then.
