I love every track on "You've Come a Long Way Baby" except two of them, which are still pretty good. One of the most solid and diverse albums I know of. But if I had to choose, "In Heaven" "Gangsta Tripping" or "Love Island" surprised no one mentioned Love Island, love the drop on that one. Never cared for Acid 8000 though.

Acid 8000 and Love Island are probably my two faves.

How can it be a fave if the bassline kills it for you? I guess it's a bit subtle for a big-beat bassline , I like it though and although it's not a fat bassline as such it carries the energy of the track and complements the 303 squelch well imo.

It has an idea and it seems to serve it's purpose. But damn it's exactly moments like this that I curse myself for not being able to discuss technical stuff. Let's just say that some frequency in that bass is so over the top, that it's simply too overwhelming. Yet I seem to be the only one whom even pays any attention to it? :p
edit: Of course it can be one of my favorites, eventhough it's not perfect. If the guy has a thousand tracks and remixes, then I can easily call it a favorite if it's in the top 50. Plus as Jesus, I love the acid too (and I have experienced those vocal stretches under the same purposes the whole add was made for). :p

When Fatboy Slim set out to make a video for their song Weapon Of Choice, they had a variety of comedic actors from which to choose. Instead, they chose Christopher Walken, who is best known for his dramatic work, not his amazing dance moves. The video earned the band an amazing six Video Music Awards and grew a whole new fan base for Christopher Walken.

i find norman as a remixer as very hit and miss, he pulled of some real corkers but i like it when he beefs and twists the original around the right ammount (brimful of asha remix). he however takes some things a bit too far sometimes (eple remix).
but when he uses his knowledge of tunes to good use he can pull of some good remixes, like his remix of joey negro/raven maize's 'the real life' and eric b & rakim's 'i know you got soul'
