Welcome to TA! Promised Land is solid. Very meditative and cerebral.

Somewhere within is also chock full of goodness. Very different vibe; subtle, pleasant and groovy. Lovely work with atmosphere. My only criticism on it is that it sounds a little over-pressured on the mix, like the dynamics are being quashed in mastering. If that's part of your sound, pay me no mind.

thanks so much for the feedback!

i think i did overdue it on the mastering, it does seem like it's over-compressed. on the youtube version i used the wav file, and it sounds better. i think the bands may have conflicted when i switched it to mp3. :conf:

Really sexy, I particularly dig the second half, especially when you drop the kick and reintroduce it at what I'd call an un-anticipated spot (love that). It also sounds like it could handle vocals pretty well.

I must admit that the melody work there is pretty impressive, I wasn't expecting that after listening to Promised Land. I only wished it had a little deeper bass though, but overall it's quite a magnificent track IMO!

Lovely tracks, well done!

Promise Land: First 2/3rds is good. It sounds almost as if a DJ just switches to a different track 2/3rds of the way through. I like how those two synth patterns interact.

2nd: Like the moody vibe. There's distortion when the break ends and the chorus begins.
