Hey guys having a little trouble here with my sub bass creating the sound is not a problem its just im working on an uplifting track the sub is at F2 and it sounds really nice but i want the progression to go down E2 then to A1 but the lower i go the worse the sound gets like A1 sounds really bad...its prob some simple settings on the vst im using v-station by the way so maybe one of yas can help me here. Thanks

You could try automating the eq to take alittle of the "harshness" away on them notes.

Just a thought.

i dnt think that eq is the issue when the notes change they change dramaticly to a low rumble rather than the nice hum i get at F2...I remember i had this problem before with v-station and i just used a diff synth and it was grand but id love to sort this out because i think v-station is better for the sub bass

Assuming you have a mid and possibly a high bass playing aswell, leave them as they are and change the sub note from A1 to A2, don't know why your going so low when everything else is in "2"

you might have a room node there, when it's your room amplifying the tone frequency

Check it on headphones

Tbh a think it just sounds bad because he's jumped an octive down from E2 to A1
DJMARK BRUTON
ye andy i think dat is the problem like the osc are set to -2 so naturally it sounds bad when i play such a low note...the reason why i was goin down to a1 was because its a remix of a track and the lead went F,E,A going down....woud ye say a2 would be fine to work with?
Andy28
Yep.. Give it a listen and find out.
DJMARK BRUTON
ye that sounds alot better nice one bud :)

No problem, you might wana do the same with any higher basses in your track if they also drop an octive.

iv moved the hole thing up to F3, E2 and A1 lowered the cut off a lil and it sounds perfect :)

nah, having the sub bass go up when the other basses go down almost always sounds awesome.
