Synopsis: In 1987, Kevin Saunderson creates "The Sound". In present day times, Giacomo Godi & Emiliano Nencioni (Supernova) release "Beat Me Back", which is a blatant rip-off of "The Sound", so Kevin releases both his original and the ripoff track for free.

Reminds me of what he did because Todd Terry sampled 'The Sound' for the flipside of his first record 'Bango', which was called "Back To The Beat"

A few months later Kevin Saunderson took it and released an answer rip-off record called "Back To The Beat" (With The Sound) that just as blatantly sampled Todd Terry's piece. :haha:

Fair enough....

I like what Jus Ed did after mike grant ripped him off.

He released a copy of Mike Grant's My Soul My Spirit with his voice talking about needing to pay your damn bills :p

It all started much earlier (and with white people too!). The story goes something like this: in 1988 The KLF released seminal "What Time Is Love?" which obviously deeply impacted the rest of the dance community because everybody and their mother started to mimic its sound and releasing rip offs without even mentioning original creators, so The KLF decided to compile some of them (most notably version by Frank De Wulf's project Liaisons D called Heartbeat) in 1989 onto the album called "What Time Is Love Story" and sell it commercially (but half the cheaper than the normal CD). Year later Liaisons D remorsefully re-released Heartbeat, this time crediting Cauty and Drummond.
