no he didn't. i don't think he was trying to keep too much of the super8 & tab sound for the remix. i would only be pissed if he rid of the oooooooo aaa oaa oa oaaa aaa aaa part. otherwise, its a cool mix. would be happy to hear the original, but i don't think they will do it.
crossing my fingers for Aalto - 5 and the Wippenberg Remix of Needs to Feel. would also be nice to hear some anjuna classics like A&B - World on Fire (Maor Levi Remix) that they used to play a lot. |

^^You have your opinion, but I RESPECTFULLY disagree. I adore Bart, but I think he really went wrong on this one.
IMO, I have always been a firm believer that if you are going to remix, remake, or edit a song, you ought to bring an equal or improved QUALITY to the orginal (notice I did not say "sound" I said "quality"). His remix sounds disjointed: the melody, music, and beat are overlapping and never properly lining up, and is no where near the quality of the original. The breakdown is missing any dramatics (there is barely a breakdown at ALL) and it just doesnt feel put-together, especially in comparison to the original.
That being said, I dont mind hearing a different sound or direction in a remix, but imo, if you are going to make a decent track sound WORSE, you ought to just leave it alone in the first place.
(sorry if I am using the wrong terminology in describing the track, I am not a producer, but hopefully I was clear enough in making my point). |
