| Finaly got round to watching all that new airbase video today. Its like how I work in live, but the problem is it never seems to progress into anything. Its looped over so many times even if I initially thought it sounded good, I get sick of it, open a new project and repeat above. |

Not to say don't strive to do it, but don't open your DAW and think "I'm going to write something amazing, right here, right now". You're just going to wind up disappointed most of the time. No expectations, no disappointments. And when you stumble across an idea that seems good, run with it.
Might be an ass-backwards way of working but it hasn't failed me yet. |

def happens, i'll go out and buy a new sample cd or download new synth sounds for my virus/sylenth whatever. if nothign works, i go thru my old projects and name all the tracks, color code etc, something to at least get you "working".
last few weeks i've been a bit lost for ideas as well but still pushing |

| I have printed head shots of people less talented making more money. That usually fixes the problem. |

| something that happens to everyone from what i've gathered talking with a lot of producers including high-end ones. just keep at it, and take it slow. I recently had a month long drought cynical drought(for an original track). I wasnt really worried as i had a lot of remixing to do, but patience and a spark of interest will do it(and gee just a few days ago i made a super slick track). Listening to music inspires me so i dig away, but also, I just jam away at my keyboard and i end up using a lot of the stuff i jam away at slightly quantized in the track. everyone is different, its nice when you get inspired. |

I've had writer's block for a whole year now.
I'm starting to consider the possibility I'll never make any music again. :wtf: |

I remember listening to mahler's 6th thinking why on earth am I even trying. Then I took out my headshots of actressses/models that might do me if I am famous and my ill placed self relevance comes back and the ideas flow.
I have about 8 actresses on my date rape list. |

Not so ass-backwards, I like that. I've tried to maintain that mentality but I obviously have forgotten. Thanks. |

Well, I want to make new stuff. It's just that I never seem to have enough "drive" to sit down and do more than make a few sounds or play with some effects anymore. |
