With the shiny new third instalment in the Anjunadeep compilation series having now been rolled out from Anjuna towers, Jimbo Cayzer delves through the tracklist and picks out four cuts from his mix on CD 2 for the now customary sampler EP. We begin with the hypnotic, whirring trails of Maor Levi’s ‘Devotion’, a richly textured prog powerhouse that’s full of melodic twists throughout.
Next up is ‘Big Fat Kiss’ from Levente Márton, as the artist also known to Anjuna followers as Sunny Lax crosses the Beats-Deep border to create a metronomic, fuzzy track that builds in a mid-point break of real serenity before laying on the grooves nice and thick thereafter.
One of the newest additions to the label are Polish outfit Kobana & Yane3dots; their contribution to this EP, ‘All Those Loose Things’, is a sleek, elegant and fresh slice of prog house, with a funky tinge some nice touches of piano.
Lastly, we have a little something from Frenchman Roddy Reynaert, who teams up with compatriot Man Of Goodwill on ‘Brotherhood’. Prepare to lose yourself amongst the delightful, swirly melodies, rolling bass and retro vibes of this uncompromisingly cheerful track.
