The clap is too loud especially for the intro and break. Might want to try a realistic clap if you have one. That'll soften the overall timbre of the song, and then when you bring in that gritty bassline it'll stand out more.

At :57 I would either lower the volume of the arpeggio or filter it down. Bring it back at 1:24. That'll give you a more exciting progression.

The track has kind of a laid back , end of the night feel to it.

thanks for the feedback! to be honest i just threw a clap on and never really went back to change it. will be incorporated in the next version - along with the filtering you mentioned.

i may also try doing some subtle musical changes for the second half of the song, as it seems somewhat monotonous

Hey man

Writing as I listen.

Like the intro. I don't think the clap is too loud? It sounds really quiet actually. I know the first two mins are intro but there's not much going on/changing.

The hats seem a bit low in the mix to me personally....

Oh I hear the clap everyone's talking about now! Yeah its a bit loud.

The bass needs to come up and be more in the mix, will probably need some careful eqing to get that right. It's a nice bass, how did you make it? I wanna make basses like that.

I like at 3.55. Everything's good here, just needs more careful mixing. Synth down. Percussion up. Arp eq'd and spread out. Kick up and eq'd and compressed with bass (maybe DARE I SAY IT sidechained)

I like your stops at the end of bars, but make more of them, with some crashes or whooshes. That keeps the ear interested.

Nice piano melody - eq out the low end, compress it, put it up in the mix, add more reverb.

When it's just the bass and piano the bass takes over! again more careful mixing.

I realise you're not going to be wanting to lower the bass much as that will lower your low end ooomph. How about this - bounce the bass to two audio tracks. EQ one to just the low end of the bass, and eq the other to the top. Then you can fade in and out the high bass as necessary whist retaining the low end oomph. I know its a dirty word in trance these days but sidechain is your friend.

Nice outro.

Hey could you give me some feedback on my tunes? Be as cutting as you like I want you to rip them apart.... http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...6&forumid=74&s=

thanks a ton for the feedback, ill be sure to return it shortly

the bass is 3 layers - a sine, a lower end rumbling bass and a higher end rumbling bass. the reason why it takes over when its just piano and bass is simply that the sidechain is released at those parts. maybe ill just cut a layer or filter one down to stop it from being overpowering in those parts.

ill make or try to make the adjustments you suggested and post another WIP up. i also somewhat restructured it and will be making some musical edits too
