Ice cream made from human breast milk is now on sale in Covent Garden, London. The shop uses breast milk to make Baby Gaga - the "fresh, free-range" delicacy.

The breast milk ice cream, called Baby Gaga, is churned using milk from 15 women who responded to an online advertisement.

Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor believes his new recipe will be a success.

"If it's good enough for our children, it's good enough for the rest of us," he said.

"Some people will hear about it and go yuck - but actually it's pure organic, free-range and totally natural."

Victoria Hiley, 35, who sold her breast milk to be made into ice cream after responding to an advert for milk suppliers on parenting website, Mumsnet, said she thought the fad would catch on.

"What's the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash?" Hiley said.

“What could be more natural than fresh, free-range mother's milk in an ice cream?"

Hiley's breast milk was expressed on site and pasteurised before being churned into ice cream with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest.

Icecreamists pays £15 pounds for every 10 ounces of breast milk and has already had 15 mothers become donors. Women undergo the same health checks used by the UK's National Health Service to screen blood donors.

"No-one's done anything interesting with ice cream in the last hundred years," said Baby Gaga creator, O'Connor.

Fancy it?

The "15 women" mentioned in the article are probably cash-hungry junkies. "I'll have two scoops with a crack addiction, thanks."

Awesome cinematic (though somewhat cliche) video about a new BBC series which celebrates man... the greatest creature of all (pffft).

Looks pretty impressive, although they should just name it Baraka, Again. And I'm going to assume that the taglines are lame as hell because they're put together by a marketing team, rather than the director/cinematographer.
