BETA Denver in a heap of legal problems!

Funny that Denver's legal team is sending us a heap of letters. Seems BETA Denver is losing money due to us being in business.

Quite humorous!

Also, they registered there US trademark in October after hearing of our opening. Wonder if they are going after all the BETA nightclubs in the world!

Ohhh Beatport!

This doesn't make any sense @ all; kinda retarded to spend all that time, energy and money to fight their claim.

Best of luck w/ the case.

They’ve threatened DJs that if they play at the Church or Vinyl they will pull their songs off Beatport — even that they will pull a DJ’s entire label off Beatport,” Christou said in a written statement. “And DJs have no choice but to go along because it’s their financial life at stake.”

i knew beatport was kinda evil in their business practices but this is retarded

meh seems like a pretty plausible thing to happen, in this industry anyways. but if they think a liquorless club in waterloo is affecting their business in denver they really are retarded. enough clubs rip off each other's names... i think it's wack but it won't affect whether or not i go, lol

Any legal threats from them should be replied to with a single sheet of paper with this printed on it:

Sounds like they're getting their comeuppance for ty business practices, anyway.

What the jury gallery might look like...

Seems like he's quite the bitter guy... But angry person + the tons of greedy lawyers down south = lawsuits. I'm sure he'd do much better if he just aimed at being innovative instead of angry he's not the big shot in "Denver" anymore.

I highly doubt that Beatport threatened deadmau5 like that either. Beatport was a huge step in his early rise to fame with his tracks like Faxing Berling hitting #1 before he was known on a widespread basis. And even to this day he supports Beatport in many ways beyond what he could be "forced" to so I can't imagine them forcing anything like that.
