I am so sick of the drama around here. Here's an idea.
It's Monday. Start making a track unlike anything you've ever made before, in terms of production, songwriting, genre, everything. Do something completely new. Surprise yourself.
In a week, next Monday, post your progress here. Whether it's a complete song by then or a 10 second snippet, show it to us. I say as a community we share a collective attempt to step out of our comfort zone. Let's all give each other some feedback, some criticism, see if we can all learn something from the experience.
I really think we're getting to a point where we could all benefit from shutting up for a week and making some ing music for once. I'm going to do this, I think some of you should too.

i definitely would if i had a desk. im currently in my sofa working on my master of science, watching rambo 2, listening to rockabilly on spotify, chatting on facebook and trolling TA, so i think it will have to wait for my part as this is my plan for the next 3 months. id love to listen to you people in a week though :) plur

I actually started doing this last night, making a house track at 128bpm. I'm definitely out of my comfort zone, I don't listen to anything like it so I'm very lost at the moment but still got a bit of a groove going.
I'll see how it goes I guess...

like it. if it goes to hell you could always export some loops out of it and contribute in the collab project thingy

I'm in, I'm gonna make a house track using only acetone rhythm ace samples. No synths just samples and fx.
Despite my awesome rambo post earlier today I did manage to get a good bit of work done one some ambient/broken beat type track, completely different from anything I've done so far.
