We'll have to disagree. The way things are handled in a country, the way it treats its intellectuals and the way the different social classes feel, is mighty important.
In 20 years Sweden will be a country brought it its knees, because the average working man can simply not continue paying high taxes, supporting non-working people. while being in debt from having a house or a car. This is something written by an economics professor about a month ago, and although I never gave it much thought till now, it kinda makes sense.
Two years ago when I predicted that bad things would happen because they got involved into a war that had absolutely nothing to do with them they laughed. Until a few months ago.
I'd love to hear what you consider the big picture being.
EDIT: Bamski, I understand that Finland is also being pressured by people that commit crimes (Romanian gypsies?). Further, i like Finns, but all of them I've met, truly enough never IRL, they tend to be too stuck up and elitist, which seems to be somewhat of a national trait.
The mockery and hate towards Sweden? The hate I've heard towards Russians?

Proven that I'm some damn xenophobe?
How's it possible that whenever someone gets mugged or something, which I have witnessed in person numerous times, 8/10 times the story is that a person of a certain ethnicity has asked a 15 year old indigenous cracker for a cigarette, and he's replied 'no, sorry, i just have two left', which has instantly lead to said cracker suddenly being beaten to a bloody pulp by +10 or even 20 persons of said certain ethnicities.
Because, like, 'we', over here, don't usually do that kind of stuff.
I wanna stop now because I feel I'm coming off as some spiteful, narrow minded ing racist. Bottom line, I have seen what I have seen, and drawn my conclusions. |
